"The Untold Story"

It was the evening of August 17, 2017, a guy in his early 20's was sitting in his bed at 8:36 P.M., absolutely devastated after being the top performer of his ex-employer. He was fired for cost cutting. He had given up his belief, faith, and trust in truth, integrity, and hard work. His phone rang at 9:51 P.M. It was a client calling him for assistance with a claim filing. Keeping the customer first while hiding his pain and tears, he assisted the client, Dr. Vinayak, with his best enthusiasm and guided him to the required resolution.

It was time to say goodbye forever to Dr. Vinayak, but he interrupted and asked, "Hey Roy, do you do a two-wheeler insurance too? As I will not have my vehicle for the next couple of days, I need to use my two-wheeler, but my insurance has lapsed. I want your help."

Roy helped him with a policy renewal from a different platform with just a token amount of Rs 1 as service charge and broke the news to Dr. Vinayak, "Sir, we won't be conversing again, as I am no more into insurance." Dr. Vinayak was taken aback, he replied, "Roy, you are the logo and face of your company, just don't give up, I will help you. There are ways to manage your business with your trusted client base and expand it."

Roy thanked Dr. Vinayak and went out of his house to his dad's two-wheeler and bowed in front of its wheels and uttered "NeverGiveUp". On 18 August 2017, NeverGiveInsuranceServices did its first coding with Royal Sundaram General Insurance Company Limited, followed by Chola MS and Bajaj Allianz.

The next two years passed in a blur with Roy single-handedly following up the clients for renewal and other insurance services. 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Roy called clients with a phone and a laptop. Post that, he roamed till late night across Bangalore in BMTC buses to collect the cheques for insurance renewal, with his eyes set on the logo of nevergiveupinsuranceservices engraved over a picture of a tyre.

The first calls made to clients on June 6, 2019, announced that Nevergiveupinsurance was founded. Under the majestic blue logo of N and the data of the entire Bangalore procured, the team started with a staff strength of 6 telecallers, one backend, one operations executive, and one field executive, with their first basic website by Data Novelty Solutions. The troop started knocking deals out of the park and locking horns with the biggest rivals in the market of Bengaluru.

A massive blow hit NeverGiveUp in December 2020 when giant business rivals wiped out NGU. For the next 5 months and 19 days, only two close associates of Roy refused to give up and continued to work for 5 months without a salary. They kept on reminding the clients via messages and emails to renew their policies.

In April 2021, Roy decided to officially shut NGU and sat with his backend employees to give thanks and pay their dues. To his surprise, their reply was "We are not giving up, we don't want salary, we just want to not give it up because you are enough to speak with all clients, check the company account, sir, we have covered 72% of our company renewals!!"

Those words pumped a spark in Roy again, he planned to ramp. The change in the process started. Without a website and false negative reviews from clients, the fight went on till 2022.

NeverGiveUp lived up to its words and made a comeback, when the business bloomed by 400% in all insurance segments with all company tie-ups. A new set of manpower was procured by the management, consisting of one founder and two employees. With the energy of college-going youngsters and the wisdom of family, the fight continued.

In December 2022, data of the entire India was procured by the taskforce of 19 people who all harbored a "till we die attitude." Within months, 3 franchisees were given, and with the recruitment of 80 more people, the war continued.

By February 2024, NGU entered multiple tie-ups with vehicle showrooms and was thriving. In 2025, on April 1, we were proud to announce that with 1260 agents across India, and a staff strength of full-time and part-time employees of 800+, NGU held 4,056 corporate tie-ups, 891 showroom tie-ups across India, and NGU delivered 24/7 service.

Our 24x7 customer service was never shorthanded. Even when the toll-free numbers and showroom numbers are not available, NeverGiveUpInsurance stands tall, keeping its clients protected under its umbrella. Our workforce swears to not rest till NGU is the preferred insurance partner for each household in India.

Roy launched the website again in May 2025 with the guidance of the one and only Data Novelty Solutions LLP. Here vows the founder to be beside you till he exists.
